Typing Games for Middle School
Typing games for middle school: races, typing tests, punctuation and the number pad, for students in grades 6 to 8.
Building real speed
By middle school most students know where the keys are. The goal now is speed with accuracy: racing, timed sprints and full sentences with punctuation.
What is a good typing speed in middle school?
Many students type 20 to 40 words per minute. Accuracy matters more than speed while building the habit.
Is there a leaderboard?
The typing race has a weekly leaderboard with generated nicknames, so no real names are shown.
