How the leaderboard works
- Only finished Type Rush races count. Each device shows up once, with its fastest race of the last 7 days. Older races drop off day by day, so everyone gets a fresh shot every week.
- Speed is words per minute. Every 5 correct characters count as one word, the same rule typing tests use everywhere. Wrong keys add nothing to your speed.
- Racer names are made up. The site gives each device a random name like Swift Otter. We never ask for your name, and nobody can type one in.
- Every race is checked. Races with impossible timing or robot-like keystrokes are not saved, so the board stays fair.
- New races can take up to 15 minutes to show here. Your spot at the top of the page is always up to date.
